]]> http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/04/08/olivia-quick-sneak-peak/feed/ 0 Eva – 8 Days New {Athens, GA Newborn Photographer} http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/03/25/eva-8-days-new-athens-ga-newborn-photographer/ http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/03/25/eva-8-days-new-athens-ga-newborn-photographer/#comments Tue, 26 Mar 2013 01:05:55 +0000 admin http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/?p=1680 Eva’s mommy is one of the strongest women I know!  I introduced her to you a few weeks ago when I shared her maternity session.  She learned of her pregnancy with Ava within days of receiving her diagnosis of breast cancer.  She maintained a healthy pregnancy while receiving cancer treatments, and she and her husband now have a gorgeous baby girl!  Ava’s big sister Luna loves her!  It was so sweet to watch Luna interact with Eva.  Ava was such a good baby during her session too.  Once I got her wrapped up, she went right to sleep!  Her session was on St. Patrick’s Day, so I couldn’t resist using the leprechaun hat that my friend Ashley made for my son last year.  I think it worked perfectly!  Ken and Gloria, I hope you enjoy your preview!

]]> http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/02/01/amanda-33-weeks-pregnant-athens-ga-maternity-photographer/feed/ 0 Gloria’s Maternity – 32 Weeks {Athens, GA Maternity Photographer} http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/01/20/glorias-maternity-32-weeks-athens-ga-maternity-photographer/ http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/01/20/glorias-maternity-32-weeks-athens-ga-maternity-photographer/#comments Sun, 20 Jan 2013 18:05:07 +0000 admin http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/?p=1634 Every now and then, I meet someone whose story puts my life in perspective and who becomes a true inspiration for me.  I learned of Gloria from a friend whose newborn daughter I photographed last year.  Gloria wanted to have maternity and newborn photos taken, just as she did with her first daughter, Luna.  I am in awe of Gloria’s strength as a woman and a mother.  You see, last summer, Gloria was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Just days later, while at the oncologist’s office, she learned that she was pregnant with the baby she and her husband had been trying to conceive for sometime.    I can only imagine the many emotions that the two of them experienced that day.  Her doctors rallied around her and created a plan so that she could carry her baby and receive chemo during her second trimester.  I photographed Gloria yesterday – she is absolutely stunning!  Her strength radiates from her smile.  It was completely obvious to me how much her husband loves her and what a wonderful mother she is to her two year-old daughter.  Her strength and courage will inspire me for the rest of my life.

]]> http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/01/13/sister-love-athens-ga-photographer/feed/ 0 Emerson – 2 Weeks New {Athens, GA Newborn Photographer} http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/01/04/emerson-2-weeks-new-athens-ga-newborn-photographer/ http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/2013/01/04/emerson-2-weeks-new-athens-ga-newborn-photographer/#comments Sat, 05 Jan 2013 03:52:34 +0000 admin http://rachelosbornephotography.com/blog/?p=1616 Last September, I participated in the Athens Maternity and Baby Fair as a sponsor.  It was a wonderful opportunity for me to share some of my work and meet hundreds of expectant mothers who were so excited to talk about their babies!  I was thrilled when once of those mothers contacted me about photographing her newborn daughter, Emerson.  Emerson was born 3 weeks early, so she was teeny tiny during her session: 5 pounds, 5 ounces.  What a beautiful little peanut!  I traveled to her family’s gorgeous home built by her father and set in the peaceful countryside for her session.  It was so peaceful there.  We used Emerson’s belly bowl for some images, and I think they turned out perfectly.  I’m so glad we got to use her cuddly Bulldawg stuffed toy too!  Mommy’s hand was right there on Emmerson the entire time during the pose and later edited out.  Safety first!  I hope you enjoy this preview!
